Hey y’all! I’m Kaylie the owner and milk maid of KR Milking Shorthorns. We are located in Arapahoe, Nebraska. My husband and I also have a beef cattle operation along with growing crops. My husband Seth is a 4th generation farmer. We still farm the ground that was given during the 40 acres and a mule act. Our farm started back in 1881.

My girls were bought to be nurse cows for the insane number of twins our beef herd were having. After their calves were weaned, I decided they should be milkers! I have always dreamed of owning a Holstein dairy cow. My papaw was a dairy farmer who milked and raised Holsteins. My papaw was and still is my hero in life. So, owning one was going to be for him.

One day my husband surprised me with a Milking Shorthorn and then another! Now I have Marley Milk Cow and Agnus Jean. Who brings absolute joy into our lives! I feel as having them makes my hero happy. And now I’m hoping to bring some of that joy to you with our raw milk.

I also own the most loved and spoiled chickens. I have several different breeds of chickens. My girls are feed fresh fruits and veggies daily. They also are given extra vitamins, minerals, and protein. All that extra goodness makes for a bight-colored yummy yolk!
